Check before starting the circulation
1. Before starting the circulation, the multi-way valve of the sand filter should be adjusted to the filter state.
2. Check whether the corresponding valves on the pipeline are in the correct state.
3. Check whether the hair collector (water pump) is blocked, if so, clean it first; check whether there is air inside, if so, exhaust the air first.
4. Check whether the filter cover is tight and leak-proof. If there is air leakage, tighten the tank cover to make it tight and leak-proof.
5. Check whether there is air accumulated in the main return water pipeline, If so, exhaust it through the drain valve.
How to operate the circulation
1. First turn on one water pump motor (the green button for the circulation); after the water pump motor runs normally, turn on the other water pumps in turn. The standby pump does not need to be turned on.
Check after starting the circulation
1. Record the pressure gauge index on the filter to check whether backwash is required; check the operation of the water pump to see if it is running smoothly and without noise; go to the pool and visually check whether the water flow from each water inlet is normal.
2. If the pressure gauge reading on the sand filter is higher than 2.5kg/cm², the sand filter must be backwash immediately.
Backwash process
1. Confirm that the relevant water pumps of the sand filter to be backwash have stopped running.
2. Adjust the multi-way valve to the backwash state (BACKWASH).
3. Confirm that the relevant valves on the pipeline are in the open state.
4. First run the water pump; check and observe the clear water mirror on the sand filter until the water is clean; then turn off the water pump.
5. Confirm that backwash is complete; confirm that the water pump is turned off; adjust the multi-way valve to positive flushing (RINSE); confirm that the relevant valves on the pipeline are in the correct position; turn on the water pump, check and observe the clear water mirror until the water is clean; then turn off the water pump.
6. Adjust the multi-way valve to the filtering state, and the sand filter cleaning is completed.
The function of the sand filter
1. Filter function - FILTER Normal filtration.
2. Backwash function - BACKWASH Backwash to discharge the accumulated dirt in the sand filter.
3. Forward flush function - RINSE Discharge the dirt remaining in the water pipe after backwash.
4. Drainage function - WASTE Directly drain without circulating through the sand filter.
5. Recirculation function - RECIRCULATE Directly drain back to the pool by the water pump without circulating through the sand filter.
6. Closing function - CLOSED Close the sand filter.
PS:
1. Do not turn the handle directly for a running sand filter. You need to close the circulation before operating!
2. In order to save equipment investment, swimming pool filters generally do not have a dedicated backwash pump, but use a pool water circulation pump. Therefore, in order to facilitate operators to monitor the progress of filtration and the sufficient capacity of the water pump required for backwash, if there are multiple filters in the swimming pool, they should be backwash one by one, and two or more filters should not be backwash at the same time.
Standardized sand filter cleaning and maintenance are the key to ensuring the water quality and equipment operation of the swimming pool.
